You know when actors and actresses go up on stage at the Oscars and the first thing they do is “thank the Academy”? Most people roll their eyes at this obvious pandering, but there’s a lot to be said for recognizing the help it takes to achieve greatness.
“Hey, you. Yes, you in the John Deere baseball cap. Shut up.”
In all seriousness, WordStream has been honored and recognized in several ways during the past year, and while I’m incredibly proud of everything we’ve accomplished, we couldn’t have done any of it without you – our customers, our loyal readers, our social media fans, our brand evangelists.
Here are a few recent milestones I'd like to brag about thank you for helping us achieve.
WordStream Voted A ‘Best Place to Work’ by the Boston Business Journal
Here at WordStream, we know that our most prized asset is our people. The Boston Business Journal recognized this earlier in the summer, when WordStream was named one of the best places to work in Boston.
We've gone above and beyond to make sure our employees don’t just like working here, but love working here. Sure, there’s the range of perks you’d expect at a tech startup (and a couple you might not), like the foosball table, the LeanBox vending machines, and the all-expenses-paid outings, but there’s a whole lot more that makes it a great place to work, like unlimited vacation time and a CEO who knows every employee by name.
Our monthly company meeting – we’re growing almost as fast as #ppckid!
The happier our team is, the happier you – our customers, our readers, our supporters – are. Want to work with us? Check out the Careers page and get in touch.
WordStream Makes the Inc. 5000 List Again
WordStream’s growth trajectory has been phenomenal, even by tech startup standards. Seriously, it’s amazing to me to have started WordStream at a booth in the back of a Panera and see it grow to the company it is today. Sometimes I still can’t believe it!
We’ve grown incredibly quickly – but more importantly, sustainably – and for that, WordStream was recognized by being included in the Inc. magazine Inc. 5000 for the third year in a row.
The Inc. 5000 is a nationwide compilation of the fastest-growing businesses in the U.S. Breaking into the list once (which WordStream did a couple of years ago when we broke the Inc. 500) is no easy feat, but to manage it three times goes to show how WordStream’s commitment to making outstanding software and providing superior training and support has paid off.
This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without your ongoing support, so take a bow!
WordStream Honored with First Google AdWords Channel Sales Platform Innovator Award
Over the years, WordStream has worked closely with Google to make our software as good as it possibly can be. Ralph and I have been out to Mountain View plenty of times (it was on one such trip that I snapped this picture of the awesome slide that runs through Google’s reception area).
I saved the best for last, because very recently, Google honored WordStream with the first Google AdWords Channel Sales Platform Innovator Award.
This award recognizes companies that have developed technologies that empower businesses to be even more successful with their online advertising efforts. Thanks to the hard work of our Product and Engineering teams, as well as our Sales team’s ongoing partnership with Google’s Channel Sales team, we are truly honored to be awarded the first Channel Sales Platform Innovator Award.
These are just a handful of the recent accomplishments I’m proud of, and we’re so grateful for your feedback, support, and readership. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on recently, so stay tuned and thank you all once again for being such awesome cheerleaders! Here’s to even more shared success in the years to come.
